President
Liam is a fourth year student in the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program. In addition to his current role in the DeGroote Finance Association, Liam is a returning Welcome Week Representative for the Faculty of Commerce, and a past Mentor for the DeGroote-hosted High School Business Heroes marketing case competition. His work experience includes summer internships at Burlington Economic Development Corporation and Shell Canada where he gained experiential learning in project management, marketing, and communications. He plans to pursue a career in private equity with a focus on real estate investment and development.

Marko Gavric

Marko is a fourth year honours commerce student specializing in finance. Marko hopes to pursue a career in finance after graduating. He is currently studying for his CFA level 1, which he will be taking in December.

Alexandra O’Neill
VP Strategic Development
Alexandra O’Neill is a fourth year Honours Commerce student with a specialization in finance. As an active member of the Women in Capital Markets association, Alexandra regularly participates in various networking and career development events with numerous firms in the Capital Markets industry. Her prior work experience as Installed Sales Coordinator at Lowes Canada allowed her to demonstrate her skills in leadership, organization, and accountability, while gaining experience in handling monetary transactions, managing accounts receivables, and customer financing. Alexandra also has interest in various sciences, and spent the summer of 2011 studying Marine Biology at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Alexandra is expected to graduate in April 2012, and is passionate about pursuing a career in equity trading and beginning her CFA designation.

Genevieve Vaillant
VP External Relations
Genevieve is a fourth year Honors Commerce student, specializing in finance. She has just returned from a semester studying in Marseille, France, where she developed a strong insight into the workings and variance of International Business, as well as an international perspective on world issues that went beyond the classroom. Genevieve has been an active member of the DeGroote Community as a Welcome Week Representative for the Commerce Faculty, lead mentor for the High School Business Heroes competition and, volunteer for World Congress hosted by McMaster. While studying, Genevieve works in the Shared Services Office, Finance Department, Natural Resources Canada. Genevieve is planning to pursue a career within the Banking sector and eventually complete her CFA designation.

Alex Cabral
VP Internal Relations
Alex Cabral is entering his 4th year at the Degroote School of Business. During the school year Alex works part time within the financial service industry at TD Canada Trust. He learns more about financial planning and managing money working with financial advisors and certified financial planners on a daily basis. Alex has always had an interest for the sales and marketing side of business as well. His prior work experience includes working with Mosaic sales solutions; an experiential marketing company and Spring Masters; a door to door sales company. Alex is taking the time to learn as much about the financial industry as possible while at McMaster to better his knowledge for his own personal finances and to possibly pursue a career in the industry.
